I have been working as a pediatric dentist for over 10 years. In my experience, I have seen that treating children is a difficult process that requires working quickly and finding common ground with young patients.

So I created the game “Caries Monster Fighters” and tested its effectiveness in my work. It facilitates the work of the dentist and helps to get into contact with the сhild.

How does the game work?

The doctor tells the child about the types of carious monsters, their life, the place where they hide and the threat they have to the teeth, shows the cards and the application.

Parents or children download the application to their smartphones.

The doctor allows the baby to scan the card with the monster.

The kid scans the card and gets a virtual monster in the application.

The monster comes to life in augmented reality, and the kid can play with it. To keep the monster in the collection, the child must brush their teeth regularly.

After each visit, the doctor gives the patient a new monster. That motivates the child to go to the dentist to collect characters that they can play with.
